  1. Brief Implementation of the Entire Enablement Sessions

The implementation of the entire enablement sessions has been great, with inspiring responses from the participants. The enablement sessions were able to provide valuable analytical skills and knowledge to be applied in their projects, and many people have been empowered to use data science in all various fields of study to change the world for the better and be more effective and efficient. Furthermore, with the use of digital technology and data to create innovation, many youth are now ready to transform the world with sustainable development and data. This data science enablement session truly unleashes the power of youth to make this world a better place for everyone.

I I have conducted four enablement sessions, with two onsite sessions and two online sessions. The first session was organised on the 21st of March 2023 at Thammasat University (onsite session), and the second session was organised on the 4th of April 2023 at the Junior Science Talent Project camp (onsite session). Moreover, the third session was organised online on 19th of April 2023, the fourth session was organized online on the 7th May 2023 which has been outreached and promoted to various groups of interested youth through an open call for registration, partner organisations, AI and data engineering communities, and youth networks.

The enablement session has gained wide interest from youth, with a total of 191 students interested in joining the sessions. More than 152 students joined the sessions, and 152 students are the end beneficiaries.

In conclusion, the data science enablement session has fully achieved all the required milestones from the call for applications, promotion, and conduct of the enablement session with active participation, and many people wish to use data science and SAP analytic cloud in the future. It was a fruitful and engaging sessions on youth empowerment in digital technology, data science, and innovation. Furthermore, the survey has shown an amazingly positive attitude among the overall participants.

Most of the participants are student including high school student and university.

Total: 152 Student

2. Challenges

Overall, the participants have been nice and engaging in all enablement sessions. The main problem and challenges are the technical difficulties.

3. Lessons learned and Recommendations

The enablement sessions were highly productive and interesting, with everyone actively participating and thinking creatively. The main challenges of the session were regarding technological issues, backup data, and updates. Additionally, not all computers have the same dependency, but luckily, we have SAP Analytics Cloud to work with data science, which does not require any download on local computers. Some people use iPads, which have different user interfaces from the versions on computers. The SAP analytic cloud is very intuitive, easy to use, and truly world-class analytic cloud. If the SAP Analytic Cloud had a faster response time in the program, it would be perfect since sometimes it takes up to almost ten minutes for the data source or the story to load. Therefore, in the future, having more SAC accounts will improve the session’s smoothness and the shared cloud’s connectivity and usage because the connection frequently appears to time out. The learning process of the SAP Analytic Cloud has provided valuable knowledge to all youth participants.

4. Conclusion and Moving Forward

Hundreds of young people have learned great talents that they will apply to future projects thanks to the SAP enablement sessions’ execution. These hundreds of youth are inspired and empowered to make an impact on their society and the world. We come together to have a strong youth community and many students are empowered and interested to participate in the ASEAN DSE competition. Thank you so much for giving me this wonderful opportunity to motivate other young people, women, and girls, as well as youth of all backgrounds, to embrace data science and comprehend the technology that is all around us in our everyday lives. The goal of data science going forward is to EMPOWER people to access quality, equitable, and inclusive data with STEM education and analytical skills. Furthermore, in the future, we can implement VR and AI for specialized learning for everyone. It is my honour to be ASEAN Data Science Explorer Ambassador. It has been a remarkable time in my life, and I truly cherish the memories of data science. I look forward to working with you all in the future.
